A luminous tribute to the City of Ten Thousand Shrines, the Kyoto Floor lamp beautifully juxtaposes traditional and modern elements - much like the metropolis it's named after. Evoking historic woodcraft and aviation, the lamp's structure is inspired by the intricacy of Japanese toy airplanes – in particular the Yoshida Hishou, an A-shaped plane that successfully crossed Tokyo’s Sumida River in a 1911 model-aircraft contest.
