Connect the dots. This rug will be handwoven by the artisans of M'rirt. Keltouma and her daughter Soukina lead this group of 25 artisans from a Village just outside Beni M’rirt, located in the foothills of the Middle Atlas Mountains. The traditional Beni M’rirt rug is inspired by the popular Beni Ourain rug. There are quite a few differences in these techniques, the most visible is the thickness of the knot and wool that the artisans of M’rirt use.
This rug is made up of 100% undyed sheep's wool. Natural black sheep have various pigments which will allow for a natural variety in shades of black to dark brown throughout the rug.
