Satoshi Suzuki began experimenting with hand stitching during the long days of quarantine, creating colorful embroideries in floss based on his sketches of Japanese, Native American, and decidedly New York-centric iconography. Otakara means "treasure" in Japanese, and each item that Suzuki touches transforms the ordinary into one-of-a-kind heirlooms.
