But 20,000 liters of water are required to produce a single kilogram of cotton and out of 2.7 billion meters of denim fabric produced every year, 15% ends up as waste on factory floors - the equivalent of over 250 million pairs of jeans. Meema’s aim is to get as close to a cycle of zero waste as possible with their upcycled denim textiles.
